Vidalia offers an assortment of recreational opportunities. For those athletic-minded and health-conscious individuals, the community offers a variety of events throughout the year such as the Sweet Onion Bike Ride and the Annual Baseball/Softball Tournaments.

Rocky Creek Golf Club - Rocky Creek is a relatively new 18 hole golf course with a club house and snack bar. The course features beautiful fairways, scenic ponds and many challenges to any golfer. Memberships available.

Meadows Regional Medical Center Walking Trail - Open to the public 24 hours a day, this outdoor, wooded walking course features trail markers with additional exercises to help you get the most from your workout. City Parks - Vidalia's recreational department has a variety of facilities available to the public- parks, basketball courts, 6 lighted tennis courts, 3 baseball/softball fields, a football/soccer stadium, a swimming pool, and picnic pavilions.

Vidalia Onion Festival - Held annually around the last weekend of April, this spring festival has something for everyone - a street dance, rodeo, arts-n-crafts show, beauty pageant, air show & exhibitions, a two-mile fun run and 10K road race, antique car show, softball tournaments, cooking school and so much more.....It's an event you won't want to miss!

Vidalia is nestled in the heart of Southeast Georgia and is within 100 miles of Macon, Savannah, and Augusta. From I-16 take the Vidalia exit #84 and go south on State Highway 297 straight into downtown Vidalia, approximately 13 miles.  The Vidalia Municipal Airport provides air service with one 6000 ft. lighted runway and one 5000 ft. runway.
