the historic 1911 Brazell House, has a permanent collection including 18th
and 19th century American & European prints, 20th century Southern
prints and 18th and 19th century porcelain collection. The Museum features

The Ladson Genealogical Library - This spectacular library, housing
over 30,000 books and pamphlets, is one of the largest genealogical libraries
in the southeastern United States. The library is open to the public Monday

Historic Downtown Vidalia - A leisurely stroll through Historic
Downtown will reveal many delightful discoveries - from shops with fine
clothing and books, to antiques, gifts and specialty stores, and even quaint

The Vidalia Onion Factory - A cafe and gift shop where Vidalia
onion are available in season, and onion relishes, pickles, sauces and
other onion products are available year round. Golden fried onion rings

Vidalia Community Chorus - This organization of local community
singers presents a 2 -3 concert season featuring a variety of music, including
classical, jazz, pop, Broadway and Christmas favorites. Open to all interested

Rocky Creek Golf Course - Rocky Creek is a relatively new golf
course with an 18-hole course, club house and snack bar. The course features

Meadows Regional Medical Center Walking Trail - Open to the public 24 hours a day, this outdoor, wooded walking course features trail markers with additional exercises to help you get the most from your workout. A pavilion and facilities are also available for family picnics.

City Parks - Vidalia's recreational department has a variety
of facilities available to the public- parks, basketball courts, 6 lighted
tennis courts, 3 baseball/softball fields, a football/soccer stadium, a

clubs in Vidalia featuring free weights, nautilus, aerobic classes and

Vidalia Onion Festival - Held annually, this year May 16-19, 2002, this spring festival has something for everyone - a street dance, rodeo, arts-n-crafts show, beauty pageant, air show & exhibitions, a two-mile fun run and 10K road race, antique car show, softball tournaments, cooking school and so much more.....It's an event you won't want to miss!

The Vidalia Christmas Parade - held annually the first Saturday
in December. Marching bands, beauty queens, clowns and floats are an example
of the entries in the yearly event.
